I was completely exhausted after work today. Didn't sleep well last night, and it was a hectic and draining day.
As I was walking home I started out tired and just wanted to be home and sitting down. I listened to my ipod on random, and as she often does, she displayed the uncanny ability to play exactly what I wanted to listen to, but couldn't think of. Then I realized the weather was perfect. Already dark, a perfect fall temperature where you're not cold standing still, but not too warm while walking, just windy enough to send leaves down through the air in little bursts.
I suddenly had the desire to do nothing more than stop at the playground down the road and swing on the swings. So I did.
I listened to a few wonderfully random pieces while swinging, and then thought of my favourite piano piece, a Chopin Nocturne.
I played on the swings, looking up at the barely-visible clouds, watching the leaves, enjoying the beautiful fall evening, and listened to the most beautiful music.
It was wonderful. Perfect.
A much needed moment to recharge and be peaceful.Current Mood:  content |

I've just spent a while torturing myself by watching Doctor Who videos on YouTube. Specifically ones made up from the "Doomsday" episode clips and theme music from the end of season two. *sob*
That's as far ad I've gotten in the show so far. I needed to take a break before moving on to season three.

Just saw PotC 3.
I thought it was fine despite all the negative I had heard.
*shrug*
It was full of piratey goodness, that's all I expected.

Also, sitting in a favourite coffee shop, in a nice window seat, drinking tea and reading Harry Potter makes for a wonderful day off.

I have realised that every morning I am surprisingly excited to rediscover the orange juice in my fridge.
Why orange juice makes me THAT happy I really can't say...
